Former Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Champion Jonathan Toews is joining the Winnipeg Jets organization as we revealed this morning, and now his contract details have been revealed.
The longtime captain of the Chicago Blackhawks took many years away from the game he once loved to focus on his health after battling long-term COVID and also a respitory issue, but recently revealed that he is much better after a healing journey in India.
Toews then released a statement through his agent, revealing that he plans to make a comeback to the NHL for the 2025-26 season, and anticipation has been building up ever since for Blackhawks fans.
Although it's not with the Blackhawks, fans are still thrilled to witness Toews be able to make a comeback with the Winnipeg Jets.
With uncertainty on how Toews will keep up with todays pace in the NHL, or if his 37-year old body can handle it or not, the Winnipeg Jets are signing him to a very unique contract.
