ESPN Reveals Chicago Blackhawks 2024-25 Trade Deadline Plans
The Chicago Blackhawks are prepared to have a very busy NHL trade deadline this season with several key assets in play, including Seth Jones - but noted by ESPN, there appears to be two new names on the trade block.
This season for the Blackhawks has been none other than disappointing, after general manager Kyle Davidson declared the 'rebuild is over' this off-season, fans got a glimpse of hope.
Unfortunately, Davidson's time in Chicago may be expiring soon if he continues to give out false promises, especially to a die hard fan base such as the Blackhawks'.
ESPN revealed Davidson's main mindset on this NHL trade deadline, and it states 'continuing to add to the farm system', while this may be disappointing to some, as there is no plans to acquire a big name - the season is already a lost cause, expect the Blackhawks to be the busiest they've been this off-season to provide a contending team and proper support for Bedard in the upcoming season.
With a whopping $18.21 million in current cap space, the Blackhawks prepare to clear $20 million more with the selling of these players, noted by ESPN, at the trade deadline:
Alec Martinez is also another new name on the Blackhawks' NHL trade board, a former Stanley Cup Champion-winning defenseman who is in hopes to have another shot at a championship before announcing his retirement within the next three seasons.
