Connor Bedard Breaks His Silence With Alarming Comments on Seth Jones Trade
The Chicago Blackhawks traded defenseman Seth Jones, moving the costly $9.5M contract signed by former GM Stan Bowman to the Florida Panthers this past weekend, and Blackhawks players are now saying their goodbyes. Connor Bedard shares an interesting take on the deal.
That was up until Connor Bedard faced the
NHL media on Monday morning and they asked him the hard-hitting question on losing Seth Jones.
Bedard surprisingly expressed disappointment in Seth Jones being traded
Bedard stated that losing Jones 'sucks', due to his relationship built with him so early on in his career.
He also mentioned that Jones meant a lot to their team, on and off the ice.
This could strike many as concerning as Bedard's looked up to Jones since he was drafted by the organization.
Since day 1, Jones called Bedard after the NHL draft and showed him the roots of Chicago.
Unfortunately, it's quite clear that Jones' feelings were not mutual due to his trade request and annoyance with the Blackhawks organization.
With only 2 options available for a trade, Kyle Davidson managed well, acquiring a future star goaltender in Spencer Knight, alongside a first round draft pick.
