The organization has sent down Marek Vanacher, Martin Misiak, Alex Pharand and Ty Henry. All four prospects Have been sent down to their OHL teams as the Blackhawks wished to keep them developing especially with the team not ready to contend.
Vanacker was 27th pick of the 2024 Entry Draft. He had a fantastic year last year with the Brantford Bulldogs of the OHL as he played 68 games While scoring 36 goals with 82 points. At the age of 18, The Blackhawks feel he needs more seasoning and he will remain with the Bulldogs for this season In hopes to see his career take the next step and challenge for a roster spot at next year's training camp.
Misiak will be heading back to the Erie Otters as the second rounder in the 2023 entry draft appears not to be ready. After spending some time in Slovakia and with the USHL, Misiak enjoyed good production with the otters as he scored 23 goals with 47 points and 60 games. Standing at six foot 1 and 201 pounds he will certainly be a solid winger for the Blackhawks when he makes his attempts to break out into the big league.
The news was much of the same for Alex Pharand and Ty Henry after trying to make some noise in front of the coaching staff, it was determined quickly that they needed to head back to their junior years as they are not ready to even compete For the Rockford Ice Hogs.
In the end, the Blackhawks organization understands that this is in their best interest to keep their young prospects in the minors so they can continue to develop and blossom into the great players they hope they will be. With the team still in the process of finding their identity and seeing how it will compete in this year's season, Kyle Davidson and Luke Richardson will continue to evaluate their team.
