Chicago Blackhawks issue special statement on a young defenseman in the midst of contract negotiations

The Chicago Blackhawks have released a special statement on defenseman Wyatt Kaiser amidst his ongoing contract negotiations as the team's last RFA yet to be signed.
The Chicago Blackhawks have one remaining player left to be signed, RFA defenseman Wyatt Kaiser.
Today is his birthday, and the Blackhawks posted a special message on their X account:
Kaiser was taken by the Blackhawks with the 81st overall pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, and he's appeared in 98 total NHL games. So far, he has 8 points (4G, 4A).
He's coming off his 3 year, entry level contract with an AAV (average annual value) of $916,667.
Wyatt Kaiser came into Training Camp last year in good shape
Kaiser said that he felt he arrived at last year's training camp in good shape following surgery to repair a neck injury while also talking about the confidence that he's built up.
I feel like I came into camp in good shape. I felt pretty good at the beginning of camp. After my surgery I was only not doing stuff for maybe a week. So then once the scar healed up, at least I was able to sweat. I was able to get some work in and get moving a little bit so I didn't lose too much. But you can't really replicate a game.
I'm definitely more confident in my game and understanding our systems a little bit. I feel like last year I was running around a little bit, trying to kill everything, do everything. And this year, I'm a little bit more calm, a little bit more understanding of how the game works. I still have a lot to learn. There's still going to be ups and downs, but yeah, I think I'm in a decent spot.
