The Chicago Blackhawks left Spencer Knight hung out to dry as Sidney Crosby and the Penguins shut out the Hawks 5-0, which led to an exchange between Knight and his team on the bench that wasn't G-rated.

The Chicago Blackhawks failed to perform well in front of Spencer Knight as the team was demolished by their rivals, the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The matchup has significance to Connor Bedard due to the fact that every time he meets with Sidney Crosby on the ice, it's to win against his idol.
Last night, Bedard and company left Spencer Knight hung out to dry, as the team gave up 5 goals. The failure of the defense led to Knight erupting on the bench.
One fan would have the ability to hear it all, as he described Knight's reaction sitting right behind him.
Lots of curse words were flung at his teammates, who were incapable of clearing the crease or giving the team itself a chance to win the game.
Knight would make 22 saves on 27 shots against, giving him a pitiful .815 save percentage after all was said and done.
If there's conflict between Knight and the team already, how long will this team cohesion last? We know that veterans who aren't Ryan Donato could be gone at the end of the season, and any reliable vets could be offloaded.
The goal that sparked Knight's frustration was scored by Kevin Hayes to make the game 5-0.
Other than Connor Murphy and Alex Vlasic, the rest of the defensemen who played aren't experienced NHLers, and they could easily have gotten caught flat-footed.
Now come the growing pains if this is who we'll see in the lineup regularly: Artyom Levshunov, Kevin Korchinski, Wyatt Kaiser, and Sam Rinzel.
Now, we'll see if Knight's "motivational speech" has an effect on his younger teammates in the last four games of the season, or if they just replicate the last game against the Penguins.
