Blackhawks star Connor Bedard reacts to the arrival of former Florida Panthers goaltender Spencer Knight to Chicago
The Chicago Blackhawks completed a blockbuster trade which fans seem to all love, and GM Kyle Davidson is even receiving praise for it.
As the Blackhawks move defenseman Seth Jones, who held one of the worst contracts in the National Hockey League, we saw a young goaltender Spencer Knight arrive in return.
Knight Knight's first game with the Blackhawks earned him the love of every fan in attendance at the United Center, when he 41-saves in the Blackhawks win against the Los Angeles Kings.
Knight's addition is a key part of this finishing stage of the Blackhawks' rebuild, and with his arrival to the organization after spending several seasons with the Florida Panthers, he has earned a message from star Connor Bedard.

«For sure. Obviously a very high pick and a young goalie who's excited for a fresh start. Obviously super talented, so we're excited to have him. It's good, he got to come and get on the ice and kind of get that feeling out. Obviously we're thrilled to have him,» - Bedard said
Bedard is referring to Knight's strong win over the LA Kings in his Blackhawks debut, proving that he still has that former first round pick potential.
Spencer Knight's contract situation with the Blackhawks
Knight is in year two out of three of a $13.5 million extension signed by the Florida Panthers in 2023, and after next season he is set to be a free agent.
With the arrival of a solid goaltender in Spencer Knight, the Blackhawks hope to get back into the winning culture, as Knight said 'No matter if we are *** last or first place, we're gonna win hockey games'.
