Chicago Blackhawks forward reveals his honest reasoning for violating team guidelines

22-year old Chicago Blackhawks forward Lukas Reichel has been on the outskirts of the team's lineup off and on this season, but his recent healthy-scratch came under the circumstances of missing a team meeting and he's revealed why he did so.
On Friday, it was reported that Lukas Reichel violated team rules after completing ghosting his team and not showing up to a mandatory team meeting.
That morning, head coach Anders Sorensen revealed to the media that the young forward has 'gotta be a pro' if he expects pro minutes.

Anders Sörensen said according to Mark Lazerus of The Athletic.With already a rough go in the Blackhawks organization and failing to show any potential despite being a 17th overall pick in 2020, this may have ended his trust even more which could lead to his departure.
Reichel reveals why he missed Blackhawks team meeting
According to Reichel, his phone charger was missing and he slept through his alarms.
«It sucked but it's not going to happen again. I've never been late to a meeting one time, I just wasn't smart enough.»
In the outside perspective, Reichel could certainly asked a teammate to borrow one or even reached out to the hotel staff for a wakeup call in the morning, which is quite comment at high-profile hotels.
Reichel now has a chance to redeem himself against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, if he gets the opportunity to be inserted back into the lineup following his slip up on Friday.
