The Chicago Blackhawks' 1C Connor Bedard will head into the offseason with an aggressive plan to improve his game, after a 3-point night against the Ottawa Senators in the Canadian Tire Center.

The Chicago Blackhawks saw contribution from the up and down the lineup, as the team defeated the Senators, 4-3 on their home ice; the Canadian Tire Center.
Bedard would score 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist), and would have help from Frank Nazar (1 goal), and Joe Veleno (1 goal), while multiple players in the lineup added an assist.
Scoring by committee. Now, that the post season is upon them, Bedard was asked about his plan for the post season after the game and he'd give us an detailed view of what's next in order to improve his game for the 2025-2026 season.
«I think the biggest thing is speed and explosiveness is No. 1 for me,» he said. «That's always been my big thing. Just kind of learn about my body a bit and how to keep consistency throughout the year and stuff like that. Just try to learn as much as I can. Hopefully it's a successful offseason.»

So it sounds like he'll be in for a long summer of training, and maybe he should enlist the help of someone like Matt Rempe in order to gain an edge on the ice (hitting-primarily!), aside from the careless head shots.
Either way, the Vancouver-born forward will have to figure out how to continue to fill out his game, but improve his skating to be the generational talent we hope he can be.
«I think I'll do stuff a bit different,» Bedard said. «I know my goals. I've talked to a lot of people and figure stuff out. Try to obviously improve in those areas.»

Bedard ended his season with 23 goals and 67 points, topping his Calder Trophy-winning total of 61 in 2023-2024.
A slight improvement, but knowing Bedard's mentality he simply won't be happy until he's the best.
He'll have to put in extra work, and the reason we referenced Matt Rempe is to show that even people considered "goons" can improve into even halfway decent fourth-liners.
Bedard can already leap Rempe in production, but he's missing the two-way play and the grit he needs to hang against the toughest in the league.
Nick Foligno won't be around forever, and eventually Bedard should consider this part of his improvement plan starting now.
