Chicago Blackhawks complete unexpected move involving Connor Bedard that puts his production at risk

In 2025-26, we could see Connor Bedard of the Chicago Blackhawks with new responsibilities as Jeff Blashill takes over the team, and hopefully making them an exciting team to watch in the United Center.
It's now August, and
Connor Bedard is ready to take the ice at the Fifth Third training center, as camp inches closer and closer.
He's worked on increasing his speed during the offseason, and ironically enough, the time isn't passing quickly enough for him to put on the Blackhawks uniform again.
According to
Bedard, who was in Vancouver at the time of this discussion with the Chicago Sun-Times, he's eager to take the ice.
''An opportunity like that, it's hard to say no . . . but it is a pretty long event,'' he said. ''I thought for me it would be more beneficial to be home for that month of May to get started and ahead of the curve.
Bedard's been able to relax and recuperate due to the fact that he didn't accept Hockey Canada's invite to the World Championships this year. That is in order to improve his game, and now with the offseason coming to a close, there is a new challenge for Bedard to tackle.
Under Head Coach Jeff Blashill, it seems that Bedard will once again be moved to Center, with other players flanking him.
That remains the case after the team's quiet offseason. The Hawks again will enter camp without any obvious first-line wingers to slot next to Bedard. He didn't raise a fuss about that, though
As a winger, we saw him get out of his slump, and he would be part of the reason he scored 67 points (23-44) as the team's top scorer in 2024-25.
On center, Bedard struggled, and it's a little head scratching as to why they're moving him back to that position.
He'll have to learn good habits on the ice, including responsible backchecking and staying in position.
For Bedard, that shouldn't be an issue, but learning a new system always leaves a gap in knowledge until it becomes second nature.
The Blackhawks need to improve their standings in the Central Division, and for Bedard, creating separation on the ice between himself and the opposition will be key in scoring goals and creating plays.
Will Jeff Blashill be successful at imparting this kind of wisdom to the 1st OA pick in 2023?
