Chicago Blackhawks acquire Matvei Michkov to play alongside Connor Bedard in latest trade proposal

A new trade proposal suggests that Matvei Michkov could join Connor Bedard with the Chicago Blackhawks amid a tough start for the Russian forward.
Since the season started, there has been a lot of talk about Matvei Michkov's underwhelming performances and many rumors suggesting he was out of shape when he returned to North America after the offseason.
The Flyers, who have an 8-5-2 record, were reportedly unhappy about the situation, which generated a lot of talk about potential trades.
According to Heavy.com, the Hawks could be interested in making a pitch for Michkov if he ends up available.

The Flyers lost 3-2 to the Ottawa Senators in overtime last night. Michkov scored a goal but showed that he still struggles to put the team ahead of himself.
The team captain, Sean Couturier, didn't hesitate to call him out on that topic in his post-game press conference:
"He's a great goal scorer, has a lot of skill. I think you just got to find a way to contribute to helping the team win in other ways when you're struggling. You're not always going to be scoring goals every game, so ..."
"I've seen improvement in the way he's not cheating as much and being on the right side of pucks. I'm sure it's a little different for him. If he sticks to playing more of the right way, I think it's going to be better for the team overall."
"I think you could tell tonight, he was trying to make a lot of plays with the puck, holding onto the puck. So I think he's definitely feeling good about himself."

Unless Michkov changes his approach to the game, tensions with his teammates promise to grow.
If the Hawks were interested, they could make a pitch. Heavy.com stated that Kevin Korchinski and a 2026 second-round pick would be enough to get him to Chicago.
In my opinion, it will take at least a first-round pick to get it done, with a more valuable player to get it done, unless things keep degrading in the Flyers locker room.
