Per Blackhawks analyst Vinnie Parise, there were a few updates on a pair of injured Chicago players in Jason Dickinson and Ilya Mikheyev at practice after their loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

The Chicago Blackhawks' 1st meeting against former captain Jonathan Toews didn't go how they wanted, as they were doubled up in Winnipeg 6-3.
As their road trip continues with an upcoming matchup against Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers, the Blackhawks could potentially be shorthanded.
Per a report from analyst Vinnie Parise, Jason Dickson wasn't able to practice after he left the loss against the Jets with an injury, while Mikheyev did practice after missing the game despite taking warmups.
On Friday, the Blackhawks practiced in Edmonton ahead of their game that will take place on Saturday. Jason Dickinson, who left the Winnipeg game with an injury, was absent from the skate. Head coach Jeff Blashill did admit that he aggravated his shoulder injury from earlier in the season.

Ilya Mikheyev, however, did skate at practice. He was at practice in Winnipeg as well, but he didn't take warmups and ultimately missed the game. Saturday will be more telling in terms of whether or not he'll be good to go for the Oilers game.

Dickinson has 3 points (1G, 2A) in 8 games, while Mikheyev has 5 points (3G, 2A) in 9 games.

The Blackhawks Next Play Against The Oilers

The Blackhawks will still have plenty of challenges ahead as they next have to play the 2x Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers on Saturday.
This will be followed by games against the Seattle Kraken, Vancouver Canucks and Calgary Flames before new head coach Jeff Blashill makes his official return to Detroit during the regular season as Blackhawks coach.
