The Chicago Blackhawks are set in goal for the foreseeable future, but eventually, prospect Adam Gajan could take over, and he's rebounded his career in the minors.

The Chicago Blackhawks are set in goal for the foreseeable future thanks to the contract extensions for both Spencer Knight and Arvid Soderblom, who have both had positive starts to the new season and helped the Blackhawks win 5 games already.
But there's a prospect who is currently playing with the University of Minnesota-Duluth who is making a name for himself and could eventually start making some noise in the BLackhawks organization.
Goaltender Adam Gajan didn't have a good year last year at the University with a 7-12-1 record and a .885 SV%.
But it's a different story this year for him, as he's already gone 7-1 with a vastly improved .938 SV% and an impressive 1.25 GAA.
Per Blackhawks analyst Rob Couch, the future of Chicago goaltending could be in good hands if Gajan can keep up his improved play.
If Gajan continues the way he's playing, there shouldn't be any worry from the Blackhawks that they will have a future NHL netminder working his way up the depth chart. Eventually, this will lead to some other decisions for goalies in the organization, but it's much better to have too many good options than not enough. This will prove very good for a young team that is growing and looking to compete in the near future.

Adam Gajan's Size Stands Out In His Scouting Report

His scouting report via Elite Prospects highlights his size and flexibility, assets for a bigger goaltender:
Boasting a 6-foot-3 frame, Gajan complements it nicely with the strength and quickness of his pushes. Gajan's flexibility is great and he loves to show it off. You will often see him bust into the full splits on one-timers, moving side-to-side.

Before playing college hockey, Gajan played for the USHL's Green Bay Gamblers.
