Blackhawks organization makes a historic announcement of their new captain today in history
Blackhawks make historic captaincy announcement
On this day in 1995, the Chicago Blackhawks named Chris Chelios as their captain.
Chelios was an important player for the team and led the Blackhawks with a lot of heart and hard work. His leadership helped make the team stronger and more competitive while he was captain.
This was a big moment for the Blackhawks, and was now made 29 years ago today.
Now in 2024, the Blackhawks don't have a captain. People are speculating wonder if
Connor Bedard, the youngest player in Blackhawks history to be named captain?
Bedard's off-ice PR has improved this off-season, it would be a surprise to many if he took on the role at such a young age.
