Blackhawks Lukas Reichel with an amazing pass against Dallas
The short stay in the AHL has benefitted Lukas Reichel as his game in the NHL has looked nothing short of confident lately.
That was on display last night against the Dallas Stars who battled for another win, while the Blackhawks closed the casket on the Stars 3-2.The team was helped along the way by Lukas Reichel who would split the defense, and complete an unreal pass that led to an Andreas Athanasiou goal.

The old Lukas Reichel would have an issue completing a play like this, or wouldn't take a risk to shoot the puck, or even try to penetrate the defense. This looks like Reichel's confidence has been found and it has paid off.
«I thought that young guys, like, he [Reichel] really made that second goal happen,» head coach Luke Richardson said. «He broke through the middle there. And even though he drew a penalty getting pulled down, he didn't quit on the play, he made the nice pass and stayed with it. And I think that made a big momentum difference in the game for us.»
While he had secondary help with Wyatt Kaiser starting the play, Reichel earned the adulation of his teammates after the play, including Seth Jones and Andreas Athanasiou.
It looks as if Luke Richardson and Kyle Davidson's plan to help reboot Reichel's confidence has been a big boon for the organization.
«That was sick,» teammate Connor Bedard noted postgame. «And that's what he can do–he's so skilled, so fast. He makes such good plays every game. If you're watching him, iso-cam-ing him, there's so many little plays that he's making every night. It's good to see him get rewarded. That was crazy for sure.»
He had a two-point night, and his skills were evident as he also got a huge compliment from Connor Bedard as well.
