Blackhawks goaltender Arvid Soderblom leaves Chicago to join Team Sweden at World Championships

Netminder Arvid Soderblom will be one of many Blackhawks heading overseas to represent their country at the upcoming World Championship.

The 25-year old goaltender, who showed great promise this past season while beating top NHL offensively talented teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs, will be joining a highly skilled group of players:

Soderblom joins teammates Frank Nazar, Alex Vlasic (Team USA) and awaiting announcement Connor Bedard (Team Canada) as Blackhawks players participating in the tournament.

Oddly enough, Team Sweden's head coach is Anders Sorensen, Soderblom's current head coach with the Chicago Blackhawks.

This will be a great opportunity for the youth of the organization to excel against some of the best players in the world in preparation for the upcoming NHL season.
