There are several new employees of the Chicago Blackhawks, who have already made a major change in leadership with the hiring of head coach Jeff Blahhill.

The Chicago Blackhawks already made a major change in leadership over the summer, hiring former Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill as their new full-time head coach.
Anders Sorenson, who took over from the fired Luke Richardson last year on an interim basis, will remain with the team as an assistant on Blashill's staff.
Blashill, who has spent the last 3 years as an assistant coach with the Tampa Bay Lightning, will also be working with several new figures in the organization.
The Blackhawks have recently announced several additional hires, including Chris McCorkle as Manager of Hockey Operations, Sam Forstner as Director of Hockey Analytics, and Zack Brusso as Director of Hockey Technology.
Juan Gonzalez has also been hired as the team's new Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, while they also parted ways with Manager of Data Science Mark Weinstein.
The Blackhawks have missed the postseason for the last several years, resulting in a multitude of top-3 picks in the NHL Entry Draft, led by 2023 1st overall pick Connor Bedard.

Jeff Blashill expected to help develop Chicago's young players

Blashill, won won a Calder Cup with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins, is known for his work in developing young players, something that Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson now expects him to do in Chicago.
Jeff is an incredibly smart and talented coach who boasts more than 25 years of coaching experience across developmental leagues, the NHL and the world stage. He's thrived when in a position to develop young players and has shown he's capable of blending that into overall team success, a vision and philosophy we share for where we are today and where we see our team in the future. We couldn't be more excited for what's to come under Jeff's direction.

Blashill has a career head coaching record of 204-261-72.
