In an intriguing interview with ESPN NHL superstar, and former Chicago Blackhawk Patrick Kane commented on Connor Bedard's future with the original six team.

The Chicago Blackhawks have a budding superstar in Connor Bedard. In two seasons, he's already earned a Calder Trophy and scored 128 points in 150 NHL games.
For Patrick Kane, a player who is intrinsically tied to the Windy City for life, he was asked about Bedard during an interview with ESPN Chicago.

His comment about Bedard spoke volumes about how he sees his tenure in Chicago playing out in the future.
Kane feels that Bedard will lead the Blackhawks in the future and will have a great career. What stuck out particularly is Kane's statement that there's no concern for him, and Bedard will stick it out in Chicago for a long-term stay.
A glowing review for Bedard, who continues to work to improve his game year-by-year, and this postseason, he's been focusing on improving his speed.
A skill that will help him cut through NHL defenses like butter, putting the biscuit in the basket that much easier.
Bedard and the Blackhawks have begun contract negotiations for an extension on July 1st, the beginning of free agency.
While they have no intent on rushing through the process, there have been bumps along the road where NHL insiders like Elliotte Friedman and Craig Button have cautioned against signing in Chicago long-term without a concrete plan.
Bedard will make Chicago his home long-term with this next deal, but we have to wonder if he will take a bridge contract or take a team-friendly, 8-year deal.
Either way, Patrick Kane's endorsement says all we need to know about Bedard.
