Chicago Blackhawks are signing a 20-year old Russian goal-scoring machine from the KHL
At 20-years of age, Kantserov is one of the most highly touted prospect to not have made his NHL debut yet, due to contract agreements in Russia's KHL league.
After the 2025-26 KHL season completes, he goal-scoring forward has revealed that he will be signing with the Blackhawks organization.
He began showing great promise in this past years second half, turning it up a notch.

General manager Kyle Davidson is very optimistic about his future with the organization and recently commented on his amazing season, playoff success, as well as his Metallurg's 2024 Gargarin Cup win.

According to The Athletic's Blackhawks beat writer Scott Powers, Chicago has maintained very close contact with the young Russian, including a relationship with the team's development coach, Kendall Coyne Schofield.
If there's anything that may have to be worked on off-ice before he arrives in Chicago, it's his English.

Ivan Demidov.
As the 2025-26 NHL season begins, we're nearing closer and closer to Kantserov's arrival in North America.
