A Chicago Blackhawks Forward Has Received a One Game Suspension by the League

The American Hockey League has decided to suspend three players after an on-ice incident between the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks AHL affiliates.
Rockford IceHogs and Grand Rapids Griffins players have been suspended harshly by the American Hockey League for an incident that occurred on April 18th.
The Blackhawks' AHL team, the Rockford IceHogs, spoiled the long awaited AHL debuts of two Detroit Red Wings top prospects Axel Sandin Pellikka and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard with a 4-1 win on Friday.
Two-Original Six Rivals didn't fail to show their true bad blood for one another after an on-ice incident lead to 13 penalties being called between the two teams, and now suspensions.
Anton Johansson and Shai Buium of the Detroit Red Wings have been suspended by the AHL for one game for illegally leaving the bench.
A familiar face to Blackhawks fans, IceHogs' captain Brett Seney was also suspended for one game.
The American Hockey League's Player Safety Committee today announced that Grand Rapids Griffins defensemen Shai Buium and Anton Johansson and Rockford IceHogs forward Brett Seney have been suspended for one (1) game each as a consequence of their actions in a game between the teams on Apr. 18.
Buium and Johansson will miss Grand Rapids' game tonight (Apr. 19) at Iowa. Seney will miss Rockford's game tonight (Apr. 19) at Chicago.

Both Red Wings players were lucky enough to only receive a single game suspension as leaving the bench typically responds to a six-game sentence, according to the AHL rule book.
This certainly adds an extra layer of excitement to the two Original Six Rivals' AHL clubs who may face each other shortly in the Calder Cup Playoffs.
