BREAKING: NHL issues major statement regarding the Blackhawks
The Winter Classic is coming back to Chicago next season
Team reporters say the Blackhawks will host the NHL's big outdoor game at Wrigley Field, facing off against the Blues in 2024-25.
Even though the Blackhawks haven't done great this season, rookie Connor Bedard has been a big hit on TV. That's why the league and TNT want him on the ice for this big game.
This year's Winter Classic had lower TV ratings than when Bedard first played in October. It's the first time since it started in 2008 that it wasn't the most-watched game of the regular season.
For the Blackhawks, it's a big deal. They'll host the event for the third time and join in for the fifth time overall. The NHL will make the official announcement on Wednesday.
