The Fourth Period's NHL insider David Pagnotta has revealed that Buffalo Sabres goal-scoring forward Victor Oloffson will be testing the free agent market.
Oloffson is just 28 years of age who posted 42 points in his first NHL season that consisted of 54 games played, he is set to be one of the hottest names on the market come July 1st.
Being so young Olofsson will most definitely be on the radar for the Chicago Blackhawks, who hope to get younger in any way possible.
Veteran forwards Collin Blackwell, Taylor Raddysh and Tyler Johnson are all free agents for the Blackhawks and will reportedly test the market, freeing up multiple lineup spots at the forward position.
In just his third NHL season Olofsson pulled off a near-50 point campaign, finishing the year with 49 points on a dwelling Buffalo Sabres roster.
The Chicago Blackhawks and Kyle Davidson have nearly $35M in cap space and will not be afraid to spend it, while Oloffson isn't the biggest fish in the sea at the moment- he could certainly be one of the several players brought in to reinforce Connor Bedard's second NHL season that's upcoming.
