Washignton Capitals forward Tom Wilson had a hilarious impression of Carolina Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal, whom he felt was guilty of embellishment.

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson has made quite the name for himself during the 2025 postseason, especially for his actions in Game 3 of the Capitals' opening round series against the Montreal Canadiens.
He's once again gone viral for mocking the opposition, only this time it was Carolina Hurricanes captain Jordan Staal.
Late in the 2nd period, Wilson gave Staal a shove in which Staal attempted to make far worse than it actually was, hoping to sell a penalty.
Wilson wouldn't have any of it and let Staal know on his way back to the bench.
Wilson already was a hot topic on X on April 25 when his mock crying gesture was immediately made into videos, memes, and all kinds of other social media.
Wilson later said he was doing it toward one member of the Canadiens rather than their entire roster.
Yeah, it was for one guy. I wasn't doing it to their whole team. It was for one guy. I'm not going to say who, but he knows who it was, and obviously the camera was right on me, so I guess I should probably just shut up sometimes, but like I said, emotions get high. They're playing hard, we're playing hard. It's been fun hockey so far, and we'll keep it going.

Wilson may not have the chance to play much longer if his team can't win Thursday's Game 5.
