The hockey community is mourning after a devastating motorcycle accident took the life of a 24-year-old multi-sport athlete.

A former United States Marine Corps and hockey player Will Swiderski has passed away far too soon after succumbing to his injuries from a motorcycle-car collision this past weekend.
The Brick Township High School Hockey page shared the following statement:
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of one of our former players, Will Swiderski. Will, class of 2019, tragically lost his life yesterday. Will was a multi-sport athlete at Brick Township, although he only played hockey for a short time, his smile and outgoing personality will always be remembered. Will also served in the United States Marine Corps after graduation.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

The accident occured on April 19th in New Jersey at roughly 3:22 p.m at the intersection of Route 37 and Colonial Drive, Manchester NJ police said.
A current investigation by local police is currently underway, and it appears that failure to obey a traffic signal and speed are contributing factors.
Swiderski was a 2019 graduate of Brick Township High School, where he succeeded in several sports. Aside from hockey, he competed at the All-American Lacrosse National Classic in 2018. After graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps.
The young man is remembered for his outgoing personality and bright smile.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family, friends, and those affected by this tragedy.
Rest in Peace Will.
