A tense moment gripped Enterprise Center, the home of the St.Louis Blues on Tuesday night when former Edmonton Oiler turned St.Louis Blues forward from an off-season offer-sheet Dylan Holloway was stretchered off after taking a puck to the neck against the Lightning.
During Tuesday's game, a frightening incident occurred when he blocked a shot and was hit directly in the neck by the puck.
Though he initially finished his shift, it was soon clear he needed help. Holloway was carefully stretchered off the ice and rushed to the hospital, leaving the crowd in shocked silence after he collapsed on the bench.
What appeared minor at first became serious as Holloway's condition seemed to worsen on the bench.
The Blues paused the game with 1:11 left in the first period, opting to add the remaining time to the second period, allowing everyone to gather themselves.

An update later confirmed that Holloway was stable and undergoing precautionary scans. His parents, who were in town for the game, accompanied him to the hospital.
