The Los Angeles Kings have tapped Will Ferrell as Head Coach for the Kings "Los Angeles Strong" game, which will feature a star-studded lineup.
The Los Angeles Kings are doing their part to help rebuild the community they're a part of as fires have ravaged the West Coast.
Of course, they had help from our friends in Canada, and Mexico who lent their hands to the firefighting efforts.
Now comes the time to rebuild, and the Kings have tapped Will Ferrell, a huge Kings' hockey fan to lead the star-studded lineup to victory.
Along with Ferrell, actors Danny Devito, and Vince Vaughn will be skating on the ice joining the cause.
The exhibition will feature four teams, consisting of 13 players playing in a single elimination format. Each team's roster will include a mix of celebrities, NHL Alumni and First Responders. Tickets for this event will be free to all Firefighters, First Responders, community group leaders, fire victims and their families as well as for Kings Season Tickets Members.
The Round-Robin Tournament will be featured on ESPN 2, ESPN+, TruTV, Sportsnet, FanDuel, KCAL-TV, Pluto TV, Samsung Plus, and more.
NHL alumni who will be present on other rosters are as follows: Kevin Bieksa, Theo Flurry, Mark Messier, Keith Yandle, PK Subban, Rob Blake, and Bill Ranford.
The game will be an exciting spectacle of who to lend their hand in fundraising efforts.
Los Angeles is still dealing with the aftermath of the Eaton, Hughes, and Palisades fires which have been devastating to California.
The tragedy is insurmountable, as the
Hughes wildfire alone claims 10K acres near Santa Clarita.
Hopefully, with Will Ferrell's presence, the hockey community can coalesce and help each other during this trying time.
