Blackhawks Shake Up Draft Picks in Blockbuster Trade with Islanders
The Chicago Blackhawks have pulled off the biggest move of the off-season!
In today's trade with the New York Islanders, the Blackhawks decided to shake up their positions in this year's draft, a move announced by the Blackhawks official twitter page:
Islanders receive: Picks #20, #54, and #61
Blackhawks receive: Picks #18 and #50
The Blackhawks managed to climb two spots in the draft order, trading away a late second-round pick in the process.
It's clear that the team has their focus on targeting specific names in the upcoming draft.
Kyle Davidson, the Blackhawks' General Manager, has been praised for his strategic handling of the trade, and it's clear the Blackhawks walked out winners here.
