The Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens faced off in a Canadian rivalry matchup last night (April 9th 2022), and the main focus of this game was on Auston Matthews and his wild hot streak.
Matthews scored the first goal of the game, breaking yet another record- scoring 50 goals in 50 games. Matthews just 25 seconds later went on to score the best goal of the game, causing the Montreal Canadiens to build tension and get frustrated.
