Chicago Blackhawks pull off free agency signing of an MVP
Blackhawks announce second free agent signing of the off-season
The Chicago Blackhawks and general manager Kyle Davidson haven't kicked off their summer yet like other general managers who did not make the playoffs, they are steadily working the phones on a daily basis.
And with Monday mornings announcement, it proves just that.
The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the signing of the Rockford Ice Hogs' Brett Seney, who earned the MVP' award in the 2023-24 AHL season.
The team announced it is a one year two-way contract valued at $775,000. The organization is excited to have Seney decide to not test free agency, and stay within the Blackhawks.
"Rise, shine, and re-sign! "Glad to have you back in the organization, Senes!"
Seney held a valuable spot with the Ice Hogs, and prepares to make the NHL roster this upcoming training camp.
