When Kyle Davidson brought former Captain Nick Foligno in from a trade with the Boston Bruins, he wanted to have that veteran leadership on the team to help out with the young guys.
Connor Bedard spoke in an interview and stated that Nick checked in on him all summer, and it seems like they are roommates now.
In terms of mini sticks with Foligno's kids, the #1 overall draft pick is undefeated. Nick stated earlier this week that when he walked in, the kids shoved a mini stick in his face, but Bedard might've ended up having a better time than they did.
It's nice hearing that the vets are checking in on the young guns. They've been there before and they know how it feels, and they want to make sure they're ok.
This story really speaks on both of the guy's characters. One former Captain to a future Captain.
