He made a name for himself at the IIHF World Championships, playing against some of the best talent in the world.
And apparently, he's struck a nerve as GM Kyle Davidson and the Chicago Blackhawks have been attached to Nygard, as they regularly keep in contact with the winger.
He has verifiable experience with legitimate NHL players, and has also received mentorship at one of the highest-levels of the game, the international level.
The Norway native also has had experience playing in the Nordic leagues, playing 41 games with Mora IK, scoring 18 points( 8 G, 10 A) in the second-tier league in Sweden.

There's likely a great reason why Kyle Davidson and the Hawks are in contact with the Winger.
Is there a chance Davidson trades up to acquire him?
