In the latest episode of the 32 Thoughts Podcast, Elliotte Friedman has stirred up speculation about the future of the Toronto Maple Leafs' core forward group, and it may be a tough pill to swallow for Maple Leafs fans.
Friedman's report suggests that significant changes are going to happen, and he said it with his chest.Elliotte Friedman on 32T:
"This is the end for this group (core 4) if they don't pull off a big comeback"
During a disappointing home playoff game, star players Auston Matthews and William Nylander were observed in heated exchanges with Mitch Marner, another signal that the end will be official if they don't come back in this series against the Boston Bruins.
With only one series win in eight years, the Maple Leafs' core forward group has failed to live up to expectations. As Elliotte Friedman states, the core four is done if they do not pull off a surprising series comeback against the Bruins.
