Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Raddysh already has a hat trick with his new club, the New York Rangers, during last night's OT loss to the San Jose Sharks at Madison Square Garden.
Changing roster players is a way of life in the National Hockey League, and former Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Raddysh has found that out in multiple ways.
Originally taken with the 58th overall pick by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, he's played for multiple teams in his NHL career, including the Chicago Blackhawks for 2.5 years.
He would reach a career-best 20 goals with the Blackhawks in 2022-23, but wasn't brought back before the start of last year and signed for a year with the Washington Capitals.
After they chose not to re-sign him he joined the New York Rangers, and is already paying off for them by scoring a hat trick, albeit in last night's wild 6-5 OT loss to the San Jose Sharks at Madison Square Garden.
Things aren't going well for Raddysh and the Rangers in the early goings of the new season under new coach Mike Sullivan, but there's still plenty of time to figure things out.
Taylor Raddysh is fitting in with the Rangers
Raddysh, a former Blackhawks player, is paying off for the Rangers by already scoring his 1st hat trick since he put on a Rangers sweater.
His previous career-best in goals was 20 set with Chicago in 2022-23, and he's already on pace to break through that total this year if he can keep up his current scoring pace.
So far in his NHL career, he has 104 points (47G, 57A) in 314 career games with the Lightning, Blackhawks, Capitals and Rangers.
