Per NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman, the Minnesota Wild want to punish another unnamed NHL team that allegedly offered Kirill Kaprizov more money.

After superstar forward Kirill Kaprizov made Minnesota Wild fans everywhere sweat by allegedly rejecting a contract offer with an AAV (average annual value) of $16 million last month, he eased their fears by signing an even richer deal with a $17 million AAV to remain with the team for the long term.
But are the Wild upset at another team for reported tampering? Per NHL analyst Elliotte Friedman, the Wild plan to go to the NHL and demand punishment if they ever find proof that another team tried to offer him an AAV of $20 million.
Keep in mind, thr Chicago Blackhawks were the main suitors for Kaprizov, if he hit the open market.
Elliotte Friedman: "The other story that will play out over time is who was claiming they would offer Kaprizov $20M? Minnesota warned teams that if they ever got evidence, they would pursue punishment with the NHL" - Sportsnet (10/7)

Kirill Kaprizov signed the richest contract in NHL history with the Wild

There are going to be people who don't agree with the AAV that Kaprizov received, but per GM Bill Guerin, Kaprizov is so important to him that he's worth every penny of it.
Look, everybody's got a price for where they want to play in their market, and Kirill is worth that to us. He's that important to us. And we couldn't take the chance of letting him go. That's great for those other teams, but it's still great for us that we have him for nine years. And yeah, Jack is at $13.5 million, and that's great. But Kirill is that important to us. If we let him go or we even flirt with it, who knows? The worst-case scenario is definitely that he leaves. It's worse than paying him $17 million.

-Bill Guerin

The Wild also got additional salary cap relief thanks to the contracts of Zach Parise and Ryan Suter finally coming off the books.
