The Chicago Blackhakws are going to be a little better this year with the additions of Teuvo Teravainen, Tyler Bertuzzi, and more.
However, there is one more player Chicago could look for, and it's a veteran.
James van Riemsdyk, 35 years old, could be a good fit on the bottom six. Van Riemsdyk is a seven time 20-goal scorer, which helps with something the Hawks desperately need: scoring.
James had 11 goals and 27 assists last season, tallying up to 38 points in 71 games with the Boston Bruins.
Sure, if Kyle Davidson went out and got him, he's well past his prime where he was a surefire top six player on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
However, you won't be in a situation like the Flyers, where you paid him $7 million a year for him to drop off.
This could be a good addition for the Blackhawks, to teach the youth further parts of the game off ice.
