A recent update by well-trusted NHL insider, Elliotte Friedman, speculates Kirill Kaprizov's reasoning for declining major offer from the Minnesota Wild, and it's shocking.

Earlier this month, Minnesota Wild's Kirill Kaprizov reportedly declined a $128 million contract offer from his organization.
This report ultimately indicated that Kaprizov rejected a $128 million offer from Minnesota Wild's general manager, Bill Guerin, and per NHL insider, Frank Seravalli, this deal would have made him the highest paid player in National Hockey League history.
