A new report has revealed that former Chicago Blackhawks forward John Hayden, along with Seattle Kraken's mascot, Buoy, recently dodged a close call with a bear.
Former Chicago Blackhawks forward
John Hayden, who is now with the Seattle Kraken, and his blue-haired troll mascot, Buoy, were both recently in, needless to say, a pickle.
During a recent promo video shot in Alaska, both Hayden and Buoy were on a fly fishing outing in Katmai National Park as part of a trip promoting youth hockey.
Little did they know, this outing would conclude in a bear making his appearance.
While they were in the midst of a shallow river, wearing waders and other fly fishing gear, a bear appeared out of the forest and began to charge at them.

The bear charged toward the mascot, splashing water and growling, but luckily, turned away before making contact as Hayden, Buoy, and the film crew made their way back to shore.
Later, the Seattle Kraken organization stated that the film was never intended to involve a bear, yet they included it in the video posted on social media, via «X».

John Hayden commented on the incident afterwards and made a joking remark toward Buoy.
«I want to blame it on Buoy,» Hayden said on the video afterward. «They were pretty interested in his look.»
The Seattle Kraken organization and a
report from CBC news confirmed that the video was not AI-generated or faked; it was a real encounter.
