A trade was completed between the Chicago Blackhawks and Winnipeg Jets involving a goal-scoring forward today in history.

The Centennial season in Chicago is a great opportunity for fans to look back at some of the moments that shaped the team's history.

Centennial Season: Looking Back At The Hawks History

33 years ago today, on August 10, 1992, the Winnipeg Jets brought back a familiar face between the pipes. On this day, the Jets reacquired goaltender Stéphane Beauregard from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for veteran center Christian Ruuttu.
In that trade, Beauregard was one of the pieces going the other way, only to be moved again shortly after.
For Winnipeg, bringing Beauregard back offered some depth and familiarity in goal, as the netminder had spent parts of his early career with the Jets before his brief stop in Chicago.
Beauregard's career never quite reached the superstar heights of some of the players linked to his trades, but his name remains tied to one of the most significant goaltending transactions in NHL history
He ended up playing only 13 more games for the Jets, ending his NHL career right after. Indeed, he retired after the 1993-94 season, after only 90 NHL games.
As for Ruuttu, he brought some secondary scoring to the team, but injuries came in the way of his success. In three seasons with the Hawks, the Finnish forward scored 28 goals and 62 assists.
