Red Wings' Patrick Kane officially returns to Chicago this Wednesday
Patrick Kane is a legend in the United Center, he showed he still had the skills that made his moniker "Showtime" stick for life.
As he wowed the United Center crowd, with sick goals against
Petr Mrazek last season, when Chris Chelios' number was retired. The bout would take place in February, along with the epic jersey retirement of the defenseman.
Connor Bedard should bear up and remember the last time Patrick Kane was on fire, lighting up the United Center in overtime securing a 3-2 victory over the Blackhawks and then rookie sensation Bedard.
Patrick Kane and former Blackhawk
Alex DeBrincat will look to make easy work of the Blackhawks.
Bedard should remember this well; allow the fire to fill his belly, and let it show on ice, as he plays with the conviction and speed as he should.
While this is preseason, it is his sophomore year, and the future leader of the Blackhawks can't let a loss like that go, without a loss returned in kind, with
Nick Foligno leading the fold.
Kane has partners in crime here, with
Dylan Larkin and DeBrincat and if Bedard wants to win, he will need possible linemates, like
Tyler Bertuzzi and Teuvo Teraveinen to shut down "Showtime" for the first matchup of the season.
On February 25th, 2024 Kane had 2 points( 1 G, 1 A), and Alex DeBrincat had 2 points( 1 G, 1 A).
The Red Wings were more efficient with their shots, as they won the night with 31 shots on net.
The only missing factor for the Wings this year will be depth scorer,
Daniel Sprong, which Kane, Larkin, and Debrincat can't rely on for help.
Patrick Kane arguably returned to form in 2023-2024, scoring 47 points in 51 games with the Detroit Red Wings and if he's as healthy as he was last season, it's to reason he'll be just as lethal in his return home to Chicago.
