The 54-year old NFL Hall of Famer delivered the news on Tuesday, while he was at his congressional hearing on federal welfare reform, that he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
According to Fox News' Brett Favre Diagnosis , Favre has spoken out recently and admitted he has suffers "thousands" of concussions during his NFL career. Three years ago, in 2021, Favre encouraged parents to avoid contact- football until they reached the age of 14.
And on his final play of his NFL career, Favre once again suffered a concussion, according to Outkick.
During his reveal in the courtroom, Favre was at a hearing that was linked to the Mississippi welfare scandal four years ago in 2020. Favre has not been criminally charged, but the state is suing 38 people or companies, in hopes to recoup $24 million in federal welfare money.
