Several recent reports have confirmed that the Chicago Blackhawks organization is set to make their biggest signing of the offseason.

The Chicago Blackhawks have just been revealed to be set to make their biggest signing of the organization's offseason yet, as recent reports have revealed this Original Six franchise will be signing a Swedish center.
That Swedish centre being the Chicago Blackhawks' No. 3rd overall selection at this year's NHL Entry Draft, Anton Frondell.

Multiple reports have revealed the Chicago Blackhawks will be signing their No. 3 overall pick, Anton Frondell, to a entry-level contract

According to Nordstrom's article, which was published in the Swedish website, Expressen, on Saturday, July 12, 18-year old, Anton Frondell, is set to sign the maximum allowed entry-level contract this week.
This contract is set to be a three-year, $975,000 US average annual value (AAV), and according to the CBA, the deal Chicago is offering is the maximum allowed for any entry-level deal.
Nordstrom future stated that, according to the information provided to Expressen, Frondell intends to play for Djurgården during the 2025/26 season and will not attend Chicago's training camp, which begins on Sept. 15.
Rather than attending the camp, Frondell has been reported to focus on preparing for Djurgården's season and the team's opener on Sept. 3, at home against Skellefteå AIK.
With that being said, the statement is consistent with Frondell's words when he signed a contract extension with Djurgården back in March of this year.
«When I got the offer to stay, there was no doubt, no hesitation,» Frondell stated at the time of his signing. «Everyone who knows me knows that this is the club that I want to play for as long as possible.

I have been a Djurgården fan since the day I was born and I have always looked up to those who have worn Djurgården jerseys. To play for Djurgården myself is the best thing I know, and with the support of the fans it only becomes even better each game.»

Although Frondell admitted that he will continue to play with his current team, he is still expected to make his appearance with the Chicago Blackhawks organization for the 2025/26 season.
