A Chicago Blackhawks forward is emerging as a great trade deadline asset for Kyle Davidson, following a great performance against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday.

In the game, Tyler Bertuzzi played a massive role to help his team secure the win, notably scoring a hat trick in the third period:
In 13 games so far this season, the 30-year-old forward has tallied six goals and four assists.
With such performances and all the young prospects waiting for a spot in the NHL, Bertuzzi could become an interesting trade asset for the Hawks.

The Blackhawks don't need to free up cap space and could benefit from keeping him at least another season. However, Bertuzzi's performances could attract playoff teams.
It's too soon to know if the Hawks will be buyers, sellers, or will stay put at this year's trade deadline, but if they end up looking to part ways with veterans, Bertuzzi will be an interesting candidate.
Playoff contenders looking for offensive depth would love to add a guy like Bertuzzi to their lineup, making his market value quite high despite his $5.5M AAV salary.
After last night's win, the Hawks head coach, Jeff Blashill, had great words to say about Bertuzzi:
"He's a guy you appreciate more from ice level than you might from up top. Skating doesn't always look great, but man, he wins pucks, and that's kind of who he's always been for me. He's great on that back post.

He's really learned over the years how to build a wall on that back post and people shoot for it and they go in. It's a great way to score. 'Bert,' for me, has been very good all season, and he had another good one tonight."
Bertuzzi's time in Chicago, just like other veterans such as Connor Murphy and Ilya Mikheyev, could end soon. If not at the trade deadline or during the offseason, it'll be next year.
