During last night's game, Connor Bedard was tripped and fell right into the boards in what could have resulted in a major injury, but he appeared to be okay.

The Chicago Blackhawks beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 last night at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, but there was a worrying scene during the game that could have ended up a whole lot worse.
Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard was tripped after taking a shot and fell right into the boards face first but thankfully didn't appear to be any worse for wear.
Bedard was making a return to his hometown, as he is originally from Vancouver. He hopes to be included in Canada's roster for the Olympics after being initially snubbed for the 4 Nations Faceoff.
He also scored an empty net goal late in the 3rd period to seal the win.

The Blackhawks Beat The Canucks 5-2 In Vancouver

The Blackhawks beat the Canucks 5-2 thanks to the 2nd career hat trick from Tyler Bertuzzi, all of which were scored in the 3rd period.
There were no goals in the opening two periods, but a combined seven goals in the 3rd period.
Goaltender Spencer Knight also came to play by making 43 saves and also assisted on Bedard's empty net goal.
Two of Bertuzzi's goals were right in front of the net, where he traditionally plays, and he said his teammates are aware of that.
[Bedard] knows where I am and I think the 'D' kind of know too. We talked about it in the second intermission, when it gets rimmed around, you can just sling it on net and [Grzelcyk] made a great play. Head up, [Nick Foligno] was in front too screening, and it was just a good play.
