In the midst of the Minnesota Wild's push for a playoff spot, there's talk swirling about possibly trading Fleury.
But recently, Fleury himself addressed these rumors in an interview with The Athletic.
If we were last in the conference, maybe it'd be a little bit different. But this is my team. We've been battling together, right? I take pride in winning with this team. I want us to make the playoffs.
Fleury's words firmly shut down any talk of him waiving his no-move clause. It's impressive to see him sticking by his teammates, even though this could potentially be his last season in the NHL, putting his remarkable streak of 17 consecutive playoff appearances on the line.
With just 22 games left in the regular season, the Wild are trailing by four points in the playoff race.
