Former member of the Chicago Blackhawks officially declines contract offer
Ex-Chicago Blackhawks defensemen Nikita Zadorov who's known for his tough style on the ice, has said no to a new contract from the Vancouver Canucks.
He's now set to become a free agent this July according to reports.
Zadorov joined the Canucks last November after asking to leave the Calgary Flames.
The Canucks tried to keep him by offering a deal for 4 or 5 years at $4.5 million a year, but Zadorov didn't take it, according to reports.
It looks like he wants a better deal, which he might get from other teams that need a strong defenseman, such as the Chicago Blackhawks.
Will Zadorov find a better deal with another team, or is there still a chance he and the Canucks can agree on something later on into the free agency period?
