Hockey world mourns passing of Canadiens, Red Wings, four-time Stanley Cup Champion Marcel Bonin

The Montreal Canadiens organization has announced the passing of former Stanley Cup-winning legend, Marcel Bonin.
The Canadiens had announced on "X" and the official team website that Bonin had passed away today.
Bonin, before putting on the Canadiens uniform, began his career in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings in 1952-1953. He'd later join the Canadiens during the 1957-1958 season and would play five years with the team.
The entire Canadiens organization is saddened to learn of the passing of Marcel Bonin, who passed away Sunday at the age of 93.
During those years, he'd win three back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Canadiens between 1958 and 1960.
"In 454 career games with the Red Wings, Bruins and Canadiens, Bonin scored 97 goals and added 175 assists. The 5-foot-10 ,170 lb forward also produced 25 points (11G, 14A) in 50 career playoff appearances, winning his first Stanley Cup with Detroit in 1954-55.
Bonin enjoyed the most productive season of his career in 1959-60 when he recorded 51 points in 59 games with the Canadiens (17-34-51), in addition to tallying five points (1G, 4A) in eight postseason games."
Bonin's career didn't end with multiple Stanley Cup victories. During his tenure with the Canadiens.he was nominated to the NHL All-Star Game three times
He won his first Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings in 1954 and scored two career hat tricks against the New York Rangers on January 11th, 1958.
He'd complete his second career hat trick against the Blackhawks on December 26th, 1959.
Bonin will be sorely missed by family, friends, and teammates whom he leaves behind. Rest In Peace legend.
