Former Blackhawks superstar Patrick Kane continues to cross milestones this season as he has collected his 28th career overtime assist which now has him tied with Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It was ironic that he achieved this milestone while playing against the Pittsburgh Penguins as he also factored in the overtime win where Red Wings Simon Edvinsson scored the winner. Kane Has been showing no signs of slowing down since he had come back to the NHL after undergoing evasive hip surgery last season.

Many pundits felt that he may not play the same ever again but after some vigorous therapy and training throughout the summer of 2023, it helped him get back into form where he decided in February of 2024 that he would sign with the Blackhawks archrival.

Last season he played 50 games, scoring 20 goals with 27 assists for 47 points it was a - 5. He along with his Detroit team essentially willed themselves almost into the playoffs but fell short after they could not break the tiebreaker rule. Through 15 games this year, he has scored three goals with 7 assists for 10 points and is a - 4 with 17 minutes and 35 seconds of average ice time.

It remains to be seen how far he will go as he continues to push as the greatest American player in the NHL of all time. He will always be beloved by Blackhawks fans as he helped the team win 3 Stanley Cups and gave some great memories.

The Blackhawks will be on the road and will be in Seattle to play the Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena. The game will be on November 14th and game time will be 10:00 PM eastern.
