Chicago Blackhawks sign three-time Stanley Cup Champion Pat Maroon
It's been reported that it is a one-year deal at a $1.3 million cap hit. The Chicago Blackhawks have added several names today, and big top-6 talent.
Maroon provides the perfect bottom-6 talent to round out the 3rd and 4th line, and to serve as a protector for rookie forward Connor Bedard.
Maroon has won 3 Stanley Cups in his career, bringing in a load of wealth. Last season Maroon recorded 16 points in 49 games on the Boston Bruins' fourth line, as well as playing 13 games in the playoffs.
With some bite to his game, Maroon will provide as a protector not just for Connor Bedard, but for Kevin Korchinski, Frank Nazar and several other names under 20 years old for the Chicago Blackhawks.
Welcome to Chicago, Pat Maroon!
