The Vegas Golden Knights revoked the credentials of a Chicago Blackhawks reporter from The Athletic after he asked a player a question about Carter Hart.

The former Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart will be eligible to return to the NHL soon, and has been linked to two teams: the Carolina Hurricanes and the Vegas Golden Knights.
Mark Lazerus, a reporter from The Athletic covering the Chicago Blackhawks, went to Carolina and Vegas to ask around about Hart as we get closer to October 1, when he'll be able to sign.
In a surprising development, he revealed that the Vegas Golden Knights decided to punish him for asking a question about Hart to a player.

Golden Knights Revoke Press Pass To Hawks Reporter For Asking Around About Carter Hart

In a new paper, Lazerus exposed the Canes and the Golden Knights' reactions to questions about Hart.
The Canes players and coaches answered openly and nothing out of the ordinary occurred.
Captain Jordan Staal even showed openness about Hart joining the team:
"Those guys have been through the whole thing. I'm sure all of them regret what went on and what happened but are moving forward and moving on."

But when he went to Vegas, he saw his media credential revoked for the night for asking a question to Noah Hanifin.
Although Hanifin himself didn't appear to be annoyed by the question, the organization ejected him from the arena:
"The team declined to allow head coach Bruce Cassidy to speak to The Athletic one-on-one after learning of the topic. Several minutes later, before Cassidy began a news conference, the spokesperson pulled an Athletic reporter out of the room and told him to leave the team's practice facility immediately.

The Athletic's press pass for that evening's preseason game was revoked. The spokesperson said The Athletic had «ambushed» Noah Hanifin during routine locker-room media interviews that morning and the team was not «comfortable» allowing the reporter to cover the game."

This is massive.
The difference in approach between the Hurricanes and Golden Knights shows that the situation is sensitive, but also how Vegas won't hesitate to take extreme measures when small things don't go their way.

Do you think the Golden Knights went too far by revoking Mark Lazerus' press pass?
