Chicago Blackhawks' projected top six forward group expected to catch many teams off guard
The Chicago Blackhawks' projected top six is expected to catch many teams off guard in the next season, per a new report.
Although some of the drafted prospects never made it, are in the AHL, or are in Europe, there are a few who'll be interesting to watch entering the next season.
In fact, other teams will have to watch them closely to avoid being surprised by the Hawks' young guns, according to a new projection from NHL.com.
This is different from what
Daily Faceoff projects, where they had Burakovsky on the first, and Teravainen on the second.
Of course, at this stage of the offseason, it's hard to predict what will happen. With a new coaching staff in place, and many young prospects trying to earn a lineup spot, the upcoming training camp will be very interesting to follow.
Many other players are candidates for a top-six role, such as
Ilya Mikheyev, or even
Oliver Moore, who both played a few games on the top line at the end of the 2024-25 season.
Changes during the season are likely to happen, for momentum or injury-related reasons. Players are expected to lead the team to greatness regardless of their lineup spot.
It'll be up to the coaching staff to put together the best possible lineup and make adjustments if needed.
But the top-six will truly be one to watch closely when
Anton Frondell comes to Chicago.
